Innovate Carolina is the university-wide initiative for innovation and entrepreneurship at UNC-Chapel Hill. This video tells the story of Innovate Carolina through the positive difference made by the innovators who rely on its network of tools and resources. This script captures a combination of interview-style insights from these innovators who describe Innovate Carolina in their own words, while including title cards and narrative that offer deeper context and details.

VIDEO: UNLOCKING INNOVATION IN THE RESEARCH TRIANGLE
During the Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) Venture Connect Conference in 2021, UNC-Chapel Hill, NC State University and Duke University partnered to host a University Showcase event that featured several of the latest innovations from each of the institutions. This video explains how the three universities work together to catalyze research, cultivate startups and spark economic development in a way that makes the Research Triangle region one of the most advanced innovation hubs in the United States.

VIDEO: SHALLOW WATERS
During the 2019 ACCelerate Creativity and Innovation Festival, UNC-Chapel Hill joined the other universities in the Atlantic Coast Conference at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History fo celebrate and explore the intersection of science, engineering, art and design. During the three-day installation led by Innovate Carolina, University innovators presented their innovations to the public, including an exhibit titled “Shallow Waters.” This exhibit included live presentations and a video that featured Carolina faculty and students working on innovations such as hurricane modeling, technologies for oyster reef restorations and the use of seaweed aquaculture to mitigate global warming.

This video talks explores how Levi Strauss & Co, a retail industry innovator that invented blue jeans, continues to push the edge of business innovation through the use of SAS Analytics. From gaining customer insights to perfecting its retail assortment strategies and distribution channels, Levi’s uses SAS to help its customers find the perfect stye and fit every time. The script was written to capture the successes and future vision that Levi’s has for using SAS, and was then produced with the SAS Video team.
